Joseph Nelson focuses his practice on regulatory and transactional matters in the healthcare industry, concentrating on assisting healthcare providers and suppliers in ensuring their operations and transactions are compliant with applicable laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, the False Claims Acts, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, the Texas Illegal Remuneration Act, as well as state and federal regulations pertaining to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. In 2012, he became board-certified in health law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
