Karin advises physicians on their most valuable professional asset—their individual professional records as physicians. Karin takes each and every case personally, helping Texas physicians make educated and intelligent decisions as they move forward to navigate the complex areas involving  medical peer review, credentialing, state and federal immunity and privilege, physician contracts, physician employment and non-compete agreements, income guaranties, recruitment, HIPAA adherence, patient privacy, national practitioner data bank (NPDB), self-reporting, OPPE and FPPE guidance, as well as other complex state and federal healthcare regulations. Karin represents physicians in medical peer review hearings, and frequently handles complaints before the Texas Medical Board and other administrative boards in Austin. Karin spent eighteen years as a litigator at Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC, where she developed her physician representation practice. She left KRCL in 2017 to exclusively represent physicians at Zaner Law PC. She joined the Firm in 2024, which partnership now allows her clients the same personalized physician representation services that she has delivered for decades plus broader access to the Firm’s transactional, regulatory, and litigation health care law services.
